What I love so much about the Middle East is how it is a hop skip and a jump away from the UK offering guaranteed sunshine and warmth with plenty on offer for everyone; water parks and shopping in Dubai, amazing soft sandy beaches on Saadiyat island in Abu Dhabi and then the stunning resort - Six Senses Zighy Bay in the Musandam Peninsula offering fantastic villas with private pools - hands down my favorite hotel in Oman!

Visiting Dubai recently was a real jaw dropping moment. Having last visited over 20 years ago where it was little more than a vast desert with a small strip of hotels, I could not believe what I saw. Not for the faint hearted, Dubai is packed full of over the top luxurious hotels offering the highest quality throughout. Ideal for a quick getaway to enjoy some sun or stay longer and enjoy the beaches, experience the desert, world class shopping, take a scenic seaplane tour and see Dubai from the air. There is so much to do - or just relax and enjoy the sunny year round climate.

The Middle East offers something for everyone. Personally I love the adventure of staying in the desert or retreating to Zighy Bay but the bright-lights of Dubai are such fun and offer an experience unlike any other. The highly polished hotels both of Dubai and Abu Dhabi are perfect bases for exploring what is on offer in The Emirates. There really is so much to see and do in the region and I love to work on experience- based itineraries to showcase this.

Egypt is my first love when it comes to travel. The history is phenomenal, with majestic temples, and tombs so well preserved that they look like they could have been painted yesterday. Oman, which I have been lucky enough to visit twice, is a country of contrasts; with beautiful blue sea, seemingly endless sand dunes and rugged, dramatic mountains hiding lush green oases. Jordan is also amazing for history. Petra is breathtaking and a night in Wadi Rum is a must-do.

Phil Vickers

I love the Middle East for its sheer dazzling diversity. From the glitz and glamour of Dubai to the understated luxury of Oman, there is really so much to offer. Whilst Dubai is bursting with cosmopolitanism, Oman remains one of the best kept secrets of this corner of the world and it is these contrasts that keep me coming back, time and time again.
