Maddie Lukes

London Office

As a child of a military family, my childhood was spent in Cyprus, with school trips to Egypt, 4x4 driving through the mountains to Crusader castles, and exploring Roman ruins by torchlight. When I graduated from university, my love of adventure led me to spend two years exploring Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, India, Australia, the Philippines and more.

My travels started in South East Asia, and since then I’ve had a soft spot for this magical part of the world.

What my guests have said

Maddie is a pleasure to work with and has pulled out all the stops for us!!!! Can't wait for our special holiday to begin.

Travel nuggets

  • When travelling in Asia I would always recommend buying a local SIM card as soon as you can. Being able to look up directions, facts and translations will make your trip so much more enjoyable!

  • Don’t ever go on holiday with a full bag! You’ll find so many little gems in the markets and shops as you travel around and it’s such a shame to have to turn things down just because you can’t fit them within your luggage allowance!

  • There’s no better way to see a new city than on a walking tour with a local guide.

My hot picks

Avani+ Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang, Laos

The Avani+ is an odd choice for a favourite property as this old military barracks holds true to its roots with an unfussy & practical style. The lack of ultra-luxury isn't for everyone but its location is unbeatable & the restaurant is out of this world.

Song Saa, Koh Rong Archipelago, Coastal Cambodia, Cambodia

Song Saa is my all-time favourite island resort. Located on two private islands linked by a footbridge, the villas offer unparalleled sea views in one direction and lush jungle in the other. With many activities on offer, it's hard to find time to relax!

It looks like you are in the USA
