Across Latin America I have visited Cuba, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay, Brazil and Chile. So there are still some Latin American countries I can't wait to see, but even more that I want to return to! The diverse culture, landscapes and wonderful people I have met just keep drawing me back.

After a move to Caracas, Venezuela, I was hooked on travel, and I knew that I wanted to explore the world further. This led me to study abroad in Barcelona, a highlight was a weekend jaunt to Morocco, full of great surfing. After college I continued to follow my wanderlust to Central and South America and spent an amazing time backpacking through Guatemala. Getting out of my comfort zone on this trip helped me to discover so much more of the country that I would’ve otherwise missed. All of these travels inspired me to pursue a career in travel, and now I can’t imagine doing anything else.

The travel bug took hold of me early on when I studied fashion and fine art in Europe and South America. Once I began, I couldn’t stop. Soon I’d visited over 35 countries on six continents. A passionate sailor, I've taken part in numerous sailing trips around the globe and logged over 5,000 nautical miles crewing on yachts. I've seen much of the world but Central and South America has really captured my heart--its diversity, people, vibrant culture. I love nothing more than helping others experience the very best of these countries on mind-blowing, life-affirming trips. You'll find that your first time will probably spell the beginning of your own love affair with these very special places.

Whilst studying Spanish and Portuguese at university I spent a year living in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, it was then that my love for Latin America was borne and before I knew it, I was back soon after graduating. Living in Buenos Aires opened my eyes to one of the most beautiful and geographically diverse countries I have ever been to. I just loved everything about the country, from the innovative and exciting gastronomical scene in Buenos Aires to the spectacular Falls in Iguazu, to the creaking glaciers of El Calafate. Since then, I have traveled across the continent, exploring the rest of this incredible corner of the world.

Traveling the world is in my DNA. When I was younger, I would wander off from my family to follow the sound of exotic music or foreign language in the street. Latin America is like a second home to me, I like the energy of the people, the mix of cultures and the uncountable natural wonder. Trekking through the Lencois Maranhenses National Park in the Northern part of Brazil is probably one of my most memorable travel experience.

I came across Latin America whilst looking for surf. This search took me to Nicaragua where I ended up spending 4 months, falling in love with the country, culture and people. After being so mesmerized with Nicaragua and hearing passing travelers speaking so highly of the surrounding countries, I decided I needed to check them out. I have since been lucky enough to experience Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina and Chile. Panama and Colombia are on my list for later in the year.

I’d always dreamed of visiting Latin America and seeing the famous sites such as Machu Picchu and Iguassu, after seeing them on the covers of the National Geographic magazines. I finally made it out there in my third year of university when I spent a year in Ecuador, studying, working and traveling around the country and through all of Central America.

Having been born and grown up in Chile, Latin America is in my blood. I love going back all the time and thrive off the laid back attitude, which makes a hectic London life seem so far removed. I love working with Latin America and discovering new destinations and places. It also now means a lot to me to be able introduce my children to the continent – they are rapidly developing a real passion for all that is Latino travel.

My first footsteps in Latin America were a stint living in Bolivia, an incredible experience. Since I’ve been lucky enough to have explored Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Peru, Cuba, Guatemala, Belize and Panama. As a wildlife and adventure lover, personal highlights include crossing the salt flats from Bolivia into Chile and the simply awe-inspiring Andes Mountains which never cease to amaze me, snorkeling with penguins and sea lions in the Galapagos and galloping through Argentine countryside with the gauchos!

I have always had a desire to travel and so as soon as university was over with, I was off to explore the world. Inspired by all things Latin, I left for South America, where I was lucky enough to spend 7 months exploring its vibrant cities, epic landscapes and heart-felt people. On returning home and unable to sit still, a career working in the travel, industry was the perfect antidote. With four years gone by specializing in Latin America, I have been lucky enough to return to many of my favorite places, which include Peru, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, the Galapagos and more recently Mexico.

Latin America is one of my favorite places to travel, work with, and forever keep learning about. It offers such a phenomenal range of experiences, from cultural activities within the colorful cities of the continent, to some of the most unique natural experiences available on the planet. The culture varies so much across Latin America, from meeting indigenous tribes in the Amazon rainforest, to learning from boutique art collectors in Bogota, each encounter is as enriching as the last. I am also a passionate champion of gastro tourism – and believe one of the best ways to get to know a place is by sampling its high end options before seeking out its local food– and when you have a continent that boasts incredible fine dining, as well as some of the worlds most loved street food (think tacos, arepas and empanadas), it is one of the best places in the world to go exploring with your taste buds!

With more than 2 decades of experience in the travel industry, I have trodden to many remote corners of the world (as far as Antarctica, Madagascar, Galapagos Islands). Countries in the Latin and Africa continent, with their diverse sceneries & iconic experiences have given me more than enough reasons to revisit the new sides of these 2 continents and are still my all-time favorites.
