Katie Edwards

London Office

While a wonderful and slightly crazy month in Argentina sparked a life-long love of Latin America, the incredible diversity of Europe has remained a constant passion. Italy, with its beautiful lakes, varied countryside, exquisite food and magnificent architecture is a particular favorite.

Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated by the allure of far-flung lands and exotic cultures. Although my childhood ambitions of becoming a pilot never quite materialized, I have been lucky enough to explore some amazing places throughout my career and independently.

What my guests have said

"I just wanted to say what an incredible honeymoon we had! Everything ran so smoothly and the trip just got better and better each day. The 3 hotels you chose for us where out of this world! Thank you so much for putting such an incredible itinerary together for us."

"Katie Edwards is always exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient which is why we keep coming back to Scott Dunn year after year. Very helpful when we had to change our plans during our trip because of a sick child - quick to solve our issues and arrange our flights so we could be with our child. This is the second time we've made a change during a trip and each time Katie has been quick, responsive, positive and cheerful about it all. Thank you for all your hard work."

"We have certainly enjoyed our trip to Spain as much as all the other trips we have taken with Scott Dunn in the past. Katie was wonderful to deal with and has provided us with fantastic service, anticipating our every need and taking it upon herself to make even the smallest of arrangements on our behalf. And sometimes the little things can make the world of difference. Whilst we have not yet decided on our next adventure, I can confidently say that Scott Dunn will be our fist port of call - as it has been since our first trip with you in 2007."

"Excellent. Couldn't better Katie Edwards - professional, considerate and certainly went the extra mile for me."

"Thank you so much. You have been a real star. We usually travel independently and my previous experience of travel companies has been less than satisfactory. Your service, advice and speed of response however, has been exemplary."

"Thank you very much for all your help and advice. You have been excellent."

"Thanks again for your help and care. As with our previous trip to Japan, the Scott Dunn service was exemplary throughout."

"Katie listened to my brief and came back with exactly what was requested. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she dealt with everything I asked her quickly and efficiently. Thanks for making it such a stress free experience."

"Katie is extremely knowledgable about Marrakech (and other destinations I am sure!). Katie enabled me to make an informed decision about the choice of hotel we stayed at and also activities on offer. Confirmations were very prompt and we received the well presented itinerary pack in good time prior to our departure."

"Katie was fantastic help with planning and quick and responsive when we decided to stay in Taormina for a night half way through our trip. Everybody we communicated with in the office was friendly and helpful which is why we keep coming back."

"Katie Edwards was very helpful. She listened to what we were looking for and recommended a perfect vacation. They were always friendly and responsive in their emails and willing to answer questions and help with all the details. We go on our vacations with confidence of our hotel, location and logistics thanks to them."

Travel nuggets

  • In Provence, spend a day paddling a kayak along the Gard to enjoy some of the best scenery in beautiful region. Stop off for a picnic and a dip in the clear water, then finish at the stunning Pont du Gard, an incredibly well-preserved Roman aqueduct.

  • When you’ve exhausted the Gothic quarter in Barcelona, head out of town to one of the superb vineyards south of the city for a spot of wine tasting. Just remember to order a taxi back!

  • Marrakech, Morocco – head to your hotel’s roof terrace at sunset to listen to the minarets from all over the city sounding the call to prayer. The contrast to the bustle and noise of the day is really magical.

My hot picks

Grace Santorini, Auberge Resorts Collection, Santorini, Greece

Few hotels boast such a stunning vista and Santorini Grace really makes the most of it with a beautiful infinity pool and terrace, perfect for enjoying a glass of Vinsanto as the sun sets over the caldera.

Il Salviatino, Florence, Italy

On wooded hillside in Fiesole and looking out towards the Duomo and red rooftops of Florence, Il Salviatino is perfect for those wanting to explore the city at a gentle place. The Michelin star restaurant is well worth it after a day of sightseeing.

Masseria Cimino, Puglia, Italy

Masseria Torre Maizza has a wonderfully traditional feel, with white-washed buildings covered in vines and vibrantly colored bougainvillea. The boutique feel and peaceful atmosphere make this a great option for a grown-up stay.

Monastero Santa Rosa, Conca dei Marini, Amalfi Coast

Another one for those mad about views, the terraced gardens at Monastero Santa Rosa seem to be almost suspended above the glittering coastline stretching between Positano and Amalfi.
