Irene Ng

Being born and raised in Hong Kong, surrounded by high-risers, my first safari in South Africa’s Kruger National Park was an eye-opening experience for me. Despite the long drive and multiple flights to connect to this remote corner of the world, the space of the open savannah and the closer encounter with wildlife make it worthwhile.

Australia is another favorite. After three years in the country, the beautiful sights and people still linger in my heart. There are so many reasons to fall in love with this fascinating country - the cultural diversity, coffee culture, relaxing lifestyle, and the variety of landscapes and natural scenery.

Travel nuggets

  • If online check-in doesn’t work on the airline website, try doing it through the airline app.

  • Grab a drink on the sundeck of Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia, for that mesmerizing sunset view of the Victoria Falls.

  • In Sydney, apart from relaxing on the famous Bondi Beach, take a leisure coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee where you will be rewarded with stunning views of beaches, parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools, with several lookout points.

My hot picks

Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado, Sacred Valley, Cuzco, Peru

The hotel boasts a panoramic view of Sacred Valley. While having your breakfast, you may be greeted by some alpacas roaming on the grassland.

Southern Ocean Lodge, Kangaroo Island, South Australia, Australia

Each suite has an amazing view of the Southern Ocean. All the ingredients on the menu are locally sourced and the food is so delicious!

Cape Grace Hotel, Cape Town, South Africa

Impeccable service. All rooms are tastefully decorated and each floor has a different color theme.
