I have always had a true passion for travel which first stemmed from the family vacations I was lucky to go on as a child. There is nothing I love more than getting immersed into new places and cultures. I took a 6 week tour of America during university which is when I really fell in love with everything North America has to offer from the stunning national parks to the bustling cities.

On this trip I traveled from Los Angeles to New York City through many states including California, Arizona, Utah, Texas, New Orleans and Florida.

Travel nuggets

  • "The early bird..." - I have always rated a sunrise over a sunset so am a firm believer that the stunning views are well worth the early start. There is no better way to set yourself up for a great day of traveling.

  • Follow the lead of the locals - try their local delicacies and talk to them when you can. No one knows a destination better than those who live there.

  • Keep note of your travels. Nothing beats looking back on past travel memories particularly when you are in between adventures. It's a great way to share them with family and friends as well.

My hot picks

Cavallo Point, California, United States of America

A great property located in a national park close to quaint Sausalito. Close to the city but away from the hustle and bustle with a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Vagabond's House Inn, Carmel, California

A lovely boutique hotel in a great location from which to explore the town of Carmel-by-the-Sea. This property has an adorable courtyard with firepit that is lit each evening - the perfect spot to unwind.

Ventana Big Sur, An Alila Resort, Big Sur, California

A real retreat where you can relax and unwind amongst stunning scenery of both the coastline and the forest. The views from their outdoor dining area are just spectacular.
