Since learning to ski from the age of nine in Les Gets, I can safely say that mountain sports have become so ingrained in my life and work since then. Growing up I went on numerous family skiing vacations, as well as some great university ski trips to the Three Valleys and Espace Killy.
I spent my first winter season working in St Anton and the following winter I tested out what Switzerland had to offer, where I took to snowboarding more seriously. There is nothing quite like fresh snow, mountain air, incredible views and a lot of hot chocolate!
Favourite places I've been
Chalet Husky’s wellness lights are so vibrant, a great contrast to the chalet’s wintry surroundings.
Rendl beach is the best spot in St Anton for sun bathing, people watching and catching competitions in the park.
La Boite Chaude is a meal all cheese lovers should experience at La Tête de Solaise restaurant in Val d’Isère.
My hot picks
Bastide des Virettes is so quintessentially French. The villa décor is extremely luxurious and quite traditional, finished with incredibly authentic furnishings throughout.
This chalet is a traditional home away from home. The alpine charm of the chalet runds deep, there is a shower set within the natural, organic rock face and the view from the hot tub on the terrace is one of the best in Val d’Isère.
