Since doing a community project in Ecuador at the age of 17, I have been fascinated by the different cultures in our world. Since then I have traveled 6 continents exploring the diverse sights, sounds and tastes that are on offer. The continent that has held my interest is Asia, with its diverse lanscapes, delicacies and people, there is always something new to discover.
In total, I have spent nearly a year traveling Asia, from backpacking in Indochina to train hopping in India. It is hard to pick a favorite destination in Asia, as it holds so many highlights for me, from sunrise at Angkor Wat to sunset cocktail hour at the iconic Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. I do know that whatever it is that your looking for, whether it be wildlife, beach, history or culture- all of it can be found in Asia.

Travel nuggets
Getting up early is the perfect way to beat the crowds and catch a beautiful sunrise- not to be missed at Angkor Wat and Borobudur.
I would always advise getting on that extra flight or boat to explore the corners that are less traveled. Komodo National Park in Indonesia may be a bit harder to get to but it's worth the effort.
Remember to pencil in some down time, we all want to see and do everything but it is a vacation, so make sure you find some time to relax and enjoy.
When in Australia- rent a car! Sure, it's quicker to fly but you'll miss the wonders of the outback including endless landscapes and the clearest night skies.
Remeber to check out what's going on locally, from festivals to comedy events, I experienced Sydney Opera House whilst watching my favorite comedian!
