I have a passion for travel and really enjoy visiting new countries. My time abroad at the University of Maine, USA combined with my summer in Pennsylvania at Camp America simply furthered my love of travel. I am also a keen skier and adore the stunning scenery and fresh air that can be found in the mountains.
From a young age I have spent much time in the French and Swiss Alps including Courchevel, Val d’Isere and Tignes. Whilst at the University of Maine I was a member of the Ski Club and during the winter months spent my weekends up at Sugarloaf Mountain skiing. My favorite ski resort to date is Val d’Isere, though I am yet to conquer the American West and more further afield snow.
In terms of warmer climates I can’t think of a better destination than the Med where you can enjoy both beautiful beaches and historic culture so close to home. Mallorca and Sardinia are my personal favorites; the rugged coastlines and sparkling water create the perfect setting for tranquil relaxation as well as all those fun filled activities.
Favourite places I've been
- Eat local food – From fresh seafood in the Med to lobster in Maine, alligator in the Everglades, cheese in the Alps or traditional Navajo food in Monument Valley. Tasting local food is a great way to experience authentic local culture.
- Write a travel journal - A great way to look back on those fabulous once in a lifetime experiences.
- Wake up early on your ski vacation to catch the sunrise, make fresh tracks and beat the crowds.
