Anton Walker
An avid lover of all things wild, I grew up in Zimbabwe and as a family we explored every national park the country has to offer. This further ignited my passion for Africa, its people and the wildlife. Much of my time has been spent working as a guide in South Africa, taking guests through the more remote regions of the Greater Kruger and avoiding the crowds.

My appetite for travel does not stop with Africa. I have sailed across two oceans and backpacked from Bejing to New Zealand’s most southern city of Invercargill. But above all else, my heart lies with Africa. Through various road trips and adventures I have explored almost all of Southern and East Africa. Some of my most memorable experiences have been in Botswana, where I took a multi-day trip down the length of the Okavango and, on my honeymoon, stayed in a camp where we were the only tourists for over 80 kilometres, surrounded by thousands of zebras on their annual migration.
Aside from my time working as a guide, I also helped build an island hotel in Mozambique and managed a safari lodge in Zambia. I've been fortunate enough to see the marvel of the Great Wildebeest Migration crossing the plains of the Serengeti in Tanzania, and in Kenya my ultimate memory is trekking through the wilderness with a team of camels, setting up camp each night in a new and remote location. I have also been awed by the weird and wonderful wildlife of Madagascar, their tiny lemurs and charismatic chameleons, and the hidden beaches and remote coral atolls of the Seychelles, where fly fishing was my biggest pleasure. No matter how long I spend there and how many times I return, Africa has never disappointed me. I can't wait for my next adventure!

"Our consultant Anton Walker, certainly knew his stuff and was passionate about Africa. He listened to what we wanted carefully and certainly picked some amazing places for us, the animals we saw were all in very natural surroundings and were plentiful, the lodges were nothing short of divine."
