Anna Bleasdale

Chichester Office

I joined Scott Dunn in 2007 and have been on a fabulous journey since then, specialising first on the heavenly beaches of the world, Caribbean, Seychelles , Mauritius and the divine South Pacific. Over the last few years I have been more focussed in one of our newer specialist areas, North America, and have been constantly inspired by the diversity, scenery and wildlife of both Canada and the USA.

There’s always something new to discover and highlights have included flying in a helicopter over lava spewing volcanoes on Hawaii’s Big Island through to the warmth and true hospitality of the Southern States and startling desert landscapes of the Mid West. Canada’s lush landscapes and wonderful wildlife never fail to delight and grizzly bear sightings have been some of my “wow” moments of my travel career. Although these have been my professional focus, other wonders of the world have been hard to resist and I have been lucky enough t have ventured by private plane through Namibia, explored the wonders of Egypt and Jordan, immersed myself in the fascinating culture of Vietnam and Cambodia and explore most of Europe over many years of quick weekend getaways and even spent a year working and travelling in New Zealand.

Through all these travels, one place has captured me completely, Australia. Whilst the East has the energy of the cities, lush rainforest and coral reefs, the West truly speaks to my soul with it’s red deserts, outback adventures and sublime crystal clear waters. Not to mention those whale sharks you can swim with, surely a highlight of my life to date.

What my guests have said

"So we are now home after the most amazing trip ever. I just wanted to drop you an email to say thank you for all the places you sent us, the accommodation we stayed at was beyond perfection for us. The quality of the hotels was unbelievable. We had the best holiday ever, and didn't want to come home which is amazing for us! So we are hooked on Scott Dunn. I will start to look for next August and hopefully we can come up with something."

"Anna Bleasdale did a great job. Really good recommendations (Vahine for one, and also the beach bungalow. I think that was the best room on the island). Inside knowledge and the consequent recommendations. It really worked and the choices made a difference."

"Anna was fantastic. She was wonderful from the start and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. She was amazing when we had to change our itinerary, due to the wildfires in British Columbia, and she was extremely dedicated in finding a solution for us so that the children and I could have a fantastic and memorable holiday."

"Anna's knowledge was fantastic and made a real difference to our holiday. She was helpful, efficient and went out of her way to make everything work. We all had a great holiday - loved the Canadian scenery, were very impressed by the food, enjoyed the varied itinerary."

"Anna clearly knows her stuff. No detail was overlooked in the planning. It was amazing. She was an expert, it could not have been better arranged from the locations of the hotels to the amenities on offer. The attention to detail throughout our trip was so impressive. Every thing seemed to have been thought of and taken care of in advance. I could not praise Scott Dunn enough - we had a fabulous time and little things like the printed itinerary and the little comments about places to visit en route made such a difference."

"Anna who organized our honeymoon knew all the hotels inside out and was able to provide honest feedback & advise based on her own experience as well as experiences of those that had been to the properties. Very professional - excellent knowledge and absolute pleasure to work with."

"Anna Northeast is utterly wonderful and always has good ideas of places to send me! We sent her cheers over a pina colada on more than one occasion."

"Superb! I would not consider booking a holiday with anyone else. Anna Northeast was excellent to deal with."

“Anna was really helpful throughout. After a brief conversation she understood exactly our requirements. The first longhaul proper holiday with our 1 year old twins and we had a great time. We even managed to return quite rested!”

"Anna. You were fab! You were extremely helpful when we were undecided as to whether to travel to Antigua in the light of recent events. The weather was great until the last day. Perfect!"

"Anna was exceedingly helpful and patient – given the amount of questions and changes I make!"

"Thanks so much for all your brilliant assistance and patience when we booked our Bahamas trip with you. We really had a lovely time and it was so relaxing. We will definitely be coming back to you in the future!"

"Nothing was too much trouble for Anna – a vastly better experience than with other agents."

"Anna is very helpful, patient, knowledgeable and we can’t thank her enough for introducing us to such a wonderful island and fantastic boutique resorts."

"We loved our Canadian holiday, organised by Alison and Anna. The Cathedral Mountain Lodge in Alberta was a favourite - the food and service were some of the best we’ve experienced. Both the remote and city properties and the bear watching tour were really memorable."

"In general, Scott Dunn seems to give good value for money. The service is excellent, the knowledge of the travel specialists is very good indeed: they are polite, helpful and very prompt. When I book with Scott Dunn I feel secure that they have sourced the most reliable local agents along with hotels and childcare which is of very good quality. Our main criteria is that the children must be happy on holiday, which in turn makes for a relaxing holiday for us!"

Travel nuggets

  • A flying safari around Namibia has to have been one of the travel highlights of my life.  Not only did we get to experience incredible scenery inaccessible by road, I also got to see a shipwreck buried in the sands, over a mile from the ocean!

  • The sea plane ride into Nimmo Bay, in British Columbia, gives you a bird’s eye view of these beautiful fjord like waters.  When I flew over, we were lucky enough to view a huge pod of dolphins

  • Bora Bora truly is a place that has to be seen to be believed.  Even the most vivid pictures don’t offer the wow factor that being there does, it really did blow me away

  • The Montage Palmetto Bluff embraces the true hospitality of South Carolina. Spanish moss hanging eerily from the trees, a fascinating history and an afternoon 'porchin' all add to the deep south atmosphere there.

  • Washington DC has to be my favourite US city.  It’s like walking into a film set, it’s all so familiar, with a buzz and history that makes it fascinating to explore for a few days. I recommend a bike tour to begin with and familiarise yourself.

  • I love the warmth and diversity of the Caribbean islands.  Whilst Antigua, St Lucia and Barbados are great for an easy “fly and flop”, if you can bear to travel further, Anguilla, St Barths & the Grenadines offer less people & some spectacular beaches

My hot picks

Auberge Saint Antoine, Quebec City, Canada

The Auberge in beautiful Quebec City has been carefully and sympathetically renovated to offer a modern and comfortable hotel with a twist. It houses a living breathing museum within its walls, with artefacts from centuries gone by beautifully displayed.

Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, Tofino, British Columbia, Canada

This resort in British Columbia offers the ultimate luxury wilderness experience. Be enveloped in your comfortable safari style tent after a day kayaking, bear watching, fishing, horse riding or simply being pampered in their wellness spa.

Nimmo Bay Resort, Great Bear Rainforest, British Columbia, Canada

Nimmo Bay is one of the most exclusive wilderness retreats in Canada. Where else can you head out to lunch on a local glacier by helicopter?

The Breakers Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Florida, United States of America

The Breakers Hotel in Florida’s Palm Beach was built years before the town itself existed and was once used as a safe haven for bootleggers bringing illegal alcohol into the area.

It looks like you are in the USA
