I love the snow, whether it's skiing in Europe or snowboarding through the trees and powder in Japan. I studied archaeology at university and simply can’t miss an opportunity to explore ancient ruins such as Angkor Wat or Machu Picchu.

Travel nuggets

  • Visit Vence during the Nuits du Sud musical which goes on throughout the month of July. It takes over the traditional central square where you can enjoy the music and local food on offer.

  • For a classic experience in St Paul de Vence, walk the cobbled streets of the town at night and enjoy a glass of wine at a tapas bar tucked into the medieval walls.

  • Niseko has an unbelievable amount of snow and plenty of traditional Japanese restaurants on offer. On a clear day, the resort peak offers sea views which make the 20 minute hike worthwhile.
