Tango in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Après Ski in St Anton

There’s no other ski resort in the world that does après ski quite like St. Anton. The Mooserwirt comes to life from 3pm with live bands, steins of beer and skiers dancing in their ski boots. The jagermeister and beer comes to a halt at 8pm, then it’s a stagger back down the mountain into town for more dancing.

Apsara Dancing in Cambodia

The intricate and spellbinding Cambodian “Apsara Dance” reflects ancient myths; invoking deities and spirits and paying homage to royalty and guests. The dance, which is accompanied by traditional music, was painstakingly constructed by studying the figures carved onto the walls of the temples of Angkor, harking back to centuries past and the history of the Khmer people.

Festivals and dance in Bhutan

Head to Bhutan and experience a mesmerising Buddhist festival with each dance depicting Buddhist tales with light relief provided by medieval-style jesters. Each festival has its own intricacies, from a Fire Dance to a Naked Dance where men from Jama Lakhang perform a naked dance to ward off evil and honour their all-important life-giving organ. Dancing and music in Pollenca, Mallorca

The most popular fiesta in Mallorca is the Mares de Deu dels Angels at the beginning of August. Commemorating the battle between the Christians of Pollenca and 15,000 Moors, over 1000 towns people dress up and re-enact the battle in the streets, along with bands, dancers, performances and it then all ends with a wonderful fireworks display.

Haka in New Zealand

Made famous by the mighty All Blacks as their pre-match challenge, the roots of the Haka are steeped in ancient tradition.
