St Moritz is Switzerland’s most famous exclusive winter resort, being both glitzy and fashionable. It is an excellent resort for an all round winter holiday with an unrivalled array of different diversions, including polo, golf and cricket on snow and gourmet and music festivals. The slopes on the two main mountains are most suited to intermediate skiers and expert skiers will need to be prepared to venture off piste if they want to find any challenging runs. It is however a superb resort for cross-country skiers with miles of trails.

The town of St Moritz is not the most chocolate box looking of resorts, however its spectacular setting on the shores of the famous frozen lake and with views towards the Engadin mountains, more than compensates for this fact.
