Figure Fit, the exclusive women’s only studio off the King’s Road, would like to welcome Scott Dunn skiers to four trial sessions to ensure that you derive maximum pleasure from your skiing holiday.

Figure Fit is the best method of exercise for pre-ski training as it is designed to work on strengthening specific sets of muscles; when you are in prime fitness it makes challenging your off-piste partner all the more realistic and enjoyable.

It is estimated that four sessions, taken over a fortnight, will help the body to be more “ski & snowboard prepared”. The Figure Fit team sees clients who have sustained injuries on the ski slopes and they believe that the majority could have been avoided with a little pre-planning, hence their invitation to help to reduce, if not eliminate, post ski injuries.

What is it: Figure Fit is an unusual method of exercise that has been practised in Italy and Switzerland for decades; basically exercise that you take lying down on a bed; within a flexi-dome pod that has been warmed to ensure that the muscles can be used to the maximum without any tension. It is a one-to-one exercise session; after which you shower before sitting in an ozone cabin for about ten minutes – the oxygen feeds the muscles to prevent any aches and also helps to deal with cellulite. The whole session from arrival to departure, takes under an hour.

What is it good for: The idea is to reduce a dress size or more and inevitably the weight loss will follow. It is ideal for those who have had sports injuries and need to build up specific sets of muscles to alleviate pain and aid healing; it is also excellent for those that have recently had babies, to start the toning process and ideal for the rest that just want to stay toned and yet keep on the champagne & chocolate diet.

How: After an initial consultation, a target is established and a programme is written specifically for you. You are weighed and measured so that a track can be kept of your progress. There are nutritionists on hand to further help – then the course begins. Figure Fit suggest twice a week as being ideal to see results.
