Resort Coordinator

This role is potentially more diverse than any other in the management team. It is designed with the understanding that resort operations are never routine. The successful applicant will need to be highly flexible and proactive to address the varying needs of guests and colleagues that arise from week to week. Certain aspects of the job will remain the same every week. These may include chalet management, visiting and providing SD service to hotel guests, looking after arriving and departing guests at the airport and ensuring transfers are carried out smoothly. Other responsibilities will vary from week to week and could cover any aspect of resort operations. Examples might include dealing with corporate groups, planning for arriving members of staff or helping out in understaffed areas.

The Position

From our teams, we expect an attitude whereby “Nothing is too much trouble”. You will be expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a close relationship with guests keeping them informed of events and updated on any relevant information, carrying out any requests and helping to make their stay their best holiday experience ever

  • Work as part of a small and focused in-resort management team. Provide support to other members of the resort management as and when they need it. Use initiative to identify these areas and address them

  • Effectively manage and oversee your resort team, leading by example and holding regular weekly meetings

  • Manage chalets and staff accommodation so that they are treated with the utmost care

  • Maintain and develop good relations with suppliers and contractors such as ski schools, shops, restaurants, taxi and coach companies and airlines

  • Conduct the smooth transfer of guests to and from the airport

  • Ensure that guests are supported at the airport so that their check in and arrival are as smooth as possible

  • Liaise closely with UK offices to ensure complete communication of information

  • Complete, accurately and efficiently, all paperwork and administrative duties as and when necessary to ensure effective running of the chalets

  • Deal with guest and staff problems effectively and efficiently

  • Take responsibility for all Scott Dunn monies

Essential Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in management, hospitality and winter resorts

  • Full driving licence

  • Computer literacy

  • Fluency in French or German
