Operations Manager

This is a permanent, year round position, representing Scott Dunn in our French summer and winter resorts. The role involves the considerable responsibility of overseeing the Ski and Mediterranean operations in France on a day-to-day basis and much of the forward planning for forthcoming seasons. The scope of the work is extremely broad and the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of our operations, including negotiating contracts and maintaining properties, managing our fleet of vehicles, managing our relationships with suppliers from telecoms to tradesmen and introducing and implementing improvements to our products and processes.

The Position
Represent Scott Dunn in France – being the senior representative as regards our guests, suppliers and all other parties in the resorts in which we operate
Properties – find and assess new properties (chalets, villas and staff accommodations), set up and renew rental contracts, arrange and oversee maintenance and liaison with owners
Vehicles – procure new vehicles and maintain current fleet and deal with breakdowns, incidents and insurance
Liaise with suppliers – negotiate agreements and manage relationships with a wide range of suppliers ranging from in-resort suppliers such as bakeries, ski schools and transport companies to garages and telecoms providers
Introduce and implement new initiatives to improve our holidays or the ways in which we provide them
Work with the individual resort management teams to ensure the smooth running of our resort operations safeguarding the interests of guests, owners and third parties
Complete paperwork and administrative duties to give full accountability of all work undertaken or arranged and to ensure that Scott Dunn is fulfilling its financial and legal responsibilities

Essential Qualifications
