Barbados

Barbados is the most easterly of the Caribbean chain of islands, lying well to the east of the West Indies. It is predominantly flat with only a few gently rolling hills to the north. The west coast is lined with fine white sand and natural coral reefs and along the east coast, there is a lively surf as the sea pounds the rocky shoreline. Facilities and atmosphere are in abundance here - from the festive street life, numerous water sports, fresh spicy food and the welcoming attitude of your Bajan hosts, to some of the most exquisite restaurants, and sophisticated and glamorous hotels in the Caribbean.

There are quite a few carnivals in the Caribbean this year, which include the Antigua Carnival, Barbados Crop Over, Grenada Carnival, St Lucia Jazz Festival and Reggae Month in Jamaica, all with lots of hot talent and big named stars. These are all running from the 24 July to the 12 August 2008.
