Description
After a flight north to Nosy Be and a boat transfer that sees the mainland of Madagascar slip away, you arrive at the tiny lush volcanic island of Tsarabanjina. The wonderful white sandy beaches, abundant coral and untouched marine life, teamed with a good bar and restaurant serving fantastic fresh seafood makes Tsarabanjina perfect for the escapist.
Continue your holiday in style by heading wouth to the west coast of Madagascar and Anjajavy Private Nature Reserve, host to some of the most impressive mangrove forests in Madagascar. The beach is lined with coconut palms and baobabs and each air-conditioned villa has a large terrace over looking the ocean. There is a large pool also overlooking the ocean and plenty of water sports available as well as numerous guided walks and boat trips around the bay.

When to travel
Any time of year is fine for a visit except from January to March, when heavy rainfall in many areas can make some roads all but impassable, and when there’s a high risk of cyclones in the east and northeast. In general, the best time to travel in most areas is April and October/November. The coolest time to travel anywhere is during the dry season (May to October).
Average maximum temperatures vary from about 30°C in coastal areas (higher in summer) to around 25°C on the hauts plateaux. In Antananarivo and other highland areas, temperatures during winter can drop to 10°C and even lower during the night.
