Description

Whether you’re a wine aficionado, or simply curious, experiencing the wine scene in Argentina and Chile may just convert you for life.

Begin your wine tour in the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires, home to beautiful French classical architecture, pavement cafes, tango shows, and exclusive boutiques. Stay in the heart of Palermo in the lovely Legado Mitico boutique hotel, within easy reach of some of the city’s best restaurants, bars and steak houses.

From Buenos Aires you will then fly to Mendoza and spend 3 nights at the charming Finca Adalgisa, a little oasis in the heart of Argentina's premier wine country full of rustic charm and homely warmth. During the day time head off on a winery tour to some of the area’s best vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu. The Finca can also arrange cooking classes under their walnut tree and guests can learn how to prepare delicious specialities such as empanadas mendocinas.

From Mendoza continue to Chile and drive into the heart of the Colchagua Valley to spend 3 nights at Casa Silva Winery. This glorious historic wine estancia is a magical place that is steeped in history and Chilean tradition, and offers serenity and privacy in Chile’s premier wine growing region. The restaurant, situated within one of the barrel rooms, serves a wonderful selection of Chilean food, and you can enjoy the stunning natural surroundings as well as superb wine tastings in one of Chile’s oldest and most attractive vineyards.

Finish on the Pacific Coast in Valparaiso, one of Chile’s most attractive cities, and a World Heritage Site. Casa Higueras has wonderful views of the Pacific and a restaurant specialising in such delicious dishes as Magellan crab stew.
