Description

Fly to Delhi and spend a few days exploring this most amazing city. We prefer to take our guests by cycle rickshaw through the old narrow streets of Old Delhi, before heading on a walking tour with an expert guide. We feel the Imperial offers the best location and its colonial charm perfectly welcomes you to the subcontinent. We provide all our guests with our sought after restaurant list.

Next take the Shatabdi Express train to Agra where your hotel is just a stones throw from the Taj Mahal. Head to the Taj for sunrise and sunset, as well as seeing the rest of the town with your private guide. We only really suggest one night in Agra as we feel there are better more relaxing options in Rajasthan.

Spend a few days in Jaipur, the ‘pink city’ where you can visit the ancient palaces and the old fort and shop for some of the city’s finest fabrics and gem stones. Many of our guests choose to take an elephant safari through local villages just north of the city and with a stay at Samode Palace, you will have the chance to see the city, but retreat to the countryside in the evening.

We always find getting into the countryside is a must for Rajasthan. You see local markets, villages and people that you can’t if you just rush through the major cities. We suggest taking the road from Jaipur to Udaipur via Shahpura in Southern Rajasthan to a place we think is amazing. Shahpura Bagh offers a comfortable rural retreat to see these fascinating rural scenes on your doorstep. As you move onto Udaipur, you can visit Rajasthan most impressive fort, Chittorgarh, en route. Alternatively, some guests add Jodhpur to the itinerary which adds a few days to the itinerary.

Finally, end your journey in Udaipur, with its winding streets, white marble buildings and wealth of ancient palaces, Udaipur is the most beautiful and romantic destinations in Rajasthan. Ancient palaces, jewels, and the softest cashmere offer just a hint of its attractions. Again, Devi Garh is an excellent option just 45 minutes outside of the city. It blends palace accommodation with style and is an ideal final stop. Alternatively, you could opt for a stay in the city and the Lake Palace is an ideal choice. It is the one of the most iconic and recognisable hotels in Rajasthan.

We find the best way to see and do Rajasthan is by blending different hotel types, with a diverse range of things to see and do. We of course tailor all our itineraries as some guests can’t get enough of the culture and history, and others prefer a small selection. We use the very best drivers and guides in Rajasthan who are on hand to assist you throughout your itinerary. We also like to create special extras, like champagne in impressive forts at sunset, to private dinners or spa treatments on the lake in Udaipur. We go above and beyond to create an unforgettable journey to Rajasthan.

Please see our itinerary below. It is a suggested itinerary and can be tailored to suit your individual needs.
