French Polynesia has got to be one of the most picture perfect landscapes in the world. With breathtaking mountains rising from the deepest turquoise lagoons, gentle breezes, fine food and outstanding service, you will be made to feel very special indeed.

Although the flight is long, your first class seat ensures you’ll arrive refreshed and ready for an assault on your senses. First fly over to Bora Bora, a breathtaking landscape. There are no roads on arrival, simply a private launch to take you to the Four Seasons. Your home for the next 5 nights is the epitome of luxury with a view of Mount Otemanu to die for. Step down right in to the lagoon or take a refreshing dip in your own plunge pool. Privacy is assured here, you’re at the very end of the pontoon with the best view in the house!

From Bora Bora, a flight takes you to the island of Raiatea where another private launch whisks you out to a very private island. Le Tahaa is the most exclusive hotel in Polynesia, with an impressive guest list of Hollywood stars, this is where they escape to for total seclusion.

The Royal Villa is set on the beach edge with plenty of space to spread into. Indulge in fine food, snorkel to an island with just a couple of palm trees and a hammock nestled on it, or indulge in one of the sublime spa treatments. The island even has its own dive centre for those who’d like to experience the exquisite sea life on offer.

Finally you fly back towards home, pausing for a few nights to catch your breath en route. The Beverly Hills Hotel is one of the finest in Hollywood, offering the highest levels of 5 star service. Take some time out to shop on Rodeo Drive, spot a celebrity or two or simply be pampered before flying back to London at the end of a truly unforgettable experience.

When to travel

Warm tropical year round temperatures, the French Polynesia are a tropical destination so humidity, rain, sunshine and heat are all to be considered. There are two seasons: the Summer which is from November through March and Winter which is from April through October. The average temperature in Summer is about 30°C and in the drier Winter the average temperature is about 28°C. Most rainfall is during the Summer months with high humidity. The best time weather wise with the least risk of storms is in their Winter months. June to August is windy season and can be extremely gusty.
