Description
Your journey begins with a flight to Udaipur via a short stop in Bombay along the way. Your home for the next three nights is the new Leela Hotel, which has the best location right on the banks of Lake Pichola.
During your time in Udaipur you can see and do a great deal. Within the town, you can take a boat out onto the lake before visiting the City Palace and then wander through the local streets with a private guide. We can also arrange cookery courses for those with culinary interests.
Various day trips are also possible from the city. There are some amazing castles to see such as Kumbhalgarh or Chittorgarh Forts, both offering colourful stories of Rajput history. Another interesting day trip is to the Jain temples at Ranakpur. Just above Udaipur, you will come across the Monsoon Palace; a great place to have a glass or two of champagne as the sun sets in the evening.
You will then fly to Goa via Bombay for four nights at the Leela Goa. The hotel is located in the quieter southern Goa and opens onto a long sandy beach fringed by palm trees.
This itinerary can be extended and altered as you wish, but works best by using both the Leela Hotels as it offers superb value for money.
