This trendy neighbourhood is alive with stylish restaurants and bars, a glamorous beach and plenty of shopping opportunities. Enjoy this vibrant corner of Miami for a few days before heading for the ultra sleepy Harbour Island in the beautiful Bahamas, a completely different experience altogether.
Harbour Island is a quaint island where the streets are lined with brightly coloured clapboard houses and golf buggies are the favoured mode of transport. Your stay will be at Pink Sands, which overlooks the breathtaking 3 mile pink sand beach. The hotel has 25 pastel-coloured one and two-bedroom cottages scattered throughout lush tropical gardens, each with large living areas and private sun terraces. The atmosphere here is very relaxed and yet exclusive, the perfect away from it all bolthole to finish off a unique holiday.

When to travel
The temperature in The Bahamas averages between 75°F and 85°F (24°C-29°C) in both winter and summer, although it can get chilly in the early morning and at night. The Bahamian winter is usually like a perpetual late spring. Summer brings broiling hot sun and humidity. The hurricane season, lasts (officially) from June 1 to November 30. But there is no cause for panic. Hurricanes are actually fairly infrequent here, and when one does come, satellite forecasts generally give adequate advance warning so that precautions can be taken.

The Tides South Beach is located on Ocean Drive, in the heart of the Art Deco district, across from Lummus Park and beach. On Miami's famous South Beach, approximately 16 miles from Miami International Airport. Pink Sands Resort is located on Harbour Island, part of the Out Islands of the Bahamas, is a 20-acre haven set by the edge of the famous three-mile pink sands beach. Harbour island, 50 miles east of Nassau, 20min from North Eleuthera International Airport by land and water taxi.
How to get there
9-hour 30-minute British Airways flight to Miami International Airport. From there it's a 30-minute transfer to the hotel.
