Description
On arrival in Johannesburg you will connect straight onward to Hoedspruit and the Greater Makalali Reserve. Here you will stay at Garonga for three nights of romantic luxury in the bush at this gorgeous tented camp. Daily guided game drives will allow you to explore the reserve at leisure and in the evening you can dine out under the stars.
From here you fly via Johannesburg to Mauritius for six nights at Le Prince Maurice. Set on a beautiful beach on the east coast of Mauritius, the resort has excellent facilities including a choice of restaurants and a range of watersports so you can be as active or relaxed as you wish.

When to travel
Good game viewing year round, especially May to mid-October. South African summers (October to March) are hot and wet, were as winters (May to August) are cool and dry. Daytime temperatures in summer are high and may soar above 36°C/97°F. Winter is known to produce beautiful warm days, though the evenings and early mornings can be quite chilly.
Mauritius enjoys a typically tropical climate with year-round heat, although the southeast trade winds help it never to feel too muggy. The summer months are from December to April, when it can nevertheless be extremely humid, and the winter, such as it is, runs from May to November, and is cooler and drier.
The best months to visit Mauritius are May to early December. January and February, the peak cyclone months, are best avoided by water-sports enthusiasts and divers.

Greater Makalali Game Reserve & Mauritius
Garonga is situated west of Kruger National Park, between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa, in South Africa's Northern Province. Constance Le Prince Maurice is located on the north-east coast of Mauritius, just offshore from the east coast is the tiny idyllic island Ile Aux Cerfs.
How to get there
11-hour international flight to O.R.Tambo International Airport, followed by 1-hour domestic flight to Hoedspruit. Garonga Safari Camp is a 75-minute drive from the airport.
