Description
This stunning adventure to Northeast Brazil begins in the wonderful colonial city of Salvador, the capital of Bahia and home to gorgeous cobbled streets and churches, great food, capoeira and sizzling music. Enjoy 3 nights here at the stylish Villa Bahia in the heart of the Old Town.
Next comes Fernando de Noronha, a spectacular volcanic island archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean that offers the best diving and snorkelling in Brazil, with large schools of spinner dolphins being frequent visitors. For those who don’t dive, the beaches here regularly top the polls of best Brazilian beach with breathtaking golden sands lapped by the clearest turquoise water. We would suggest 4 nights staying at Pousada Maravilha, the island’s top resort.
Fly up to Fortaleza and be driven by 4WD to Jericoacoara to finish with 5 nights at the ultra-chic Chili Beach Hotel. Set amongst huge dunes with streets of sand, Jericoacoara has a near mythical status among the hippies who ’discovered’ it, and offers unbelievable beaches, some of the world’s best kite-surfing conditions, dune buggy rides, horse riding and much more.
