Description

Start your safari at Mombo Camp, not only are their tented rooms some of the most luxurious in Africa but the game viewing in the area around the lodge, on Chief’s Island is renowned for having some of the best big cat sightings in Africa.

Then fly to Vumbura Plains, a very modern styled lodge in the Okavango Delta, which overlooks a huge lagoon. As well as game drives you can also go out on guided bush walks, and boat trips, as well as floating through the Delta’s channels in a mokoro.

Then from King’s Pool in the Northern Linyanti area, over looking the Linyanti River you can relax in your private sala and watch the hippos wallowing and squabbling below. Along with game drives and boat safaris they also have two hides where guests can spend time watching the game come down to drink.

The final stop is Jack’s Camp, a stunning, relaxing, quiet camp, which is an oasis in the middle of the stark but truly beautiful Makgadikgadi Pans. It is a more of an authentic safari experience than the other lodges, with no electricity, but the beautiful tents and activities such as meeting the local family of meerkats and learning home the bushmen survive in this harsh environment, make Jack’s Camp the highlight and perfect end to any adventure to Botswana.
