Description
Your journey begins in St Lucia where if you're lucky you'll take your first look at the mighty Piton Mountains on the final approach into the island. These beautiful peaks are only the beginning of St Lucia's lush green landscape. As you transfer up to the North of the island you will pass sleepy villages, sulphur mountains and even a very famous cocoa plantation.
Your first 5 nights are at the charming East Winds hotel. Like a corner of old England in the Caribbean sunshine, all of the lovely cottages are set in tranquil, fragrant gardens, a delight to stroll through en route to breakfast each morning. East winds offers an all inclusive stay with fine food, a relaxed mood and often steel bands playing softly in the background. Each day offers culinary treats such as freshly caught fish or local specialities. Spend some time in these calm surroundings, explore the local areas or take a swim in the warm Caribbean waters.
After your stay in St Lucia, head to the small domestic airport for your local flight over to the spice island of Grenada where you’ll spend a week on the shores of Prickly Bay at Calabash. Set in delightful gardens, this boutique hotel feels like a relaxing home from home in the Caribbean sunshine. Enjoy breakfast served daily on your terrace at a time to suit you and then lunch at the beach bar and fine dining at the superb Gary Rhodes restaurant each evening. Truly a feast for the senses. Spend your days lazing on the white sands, indulging in a spa treatment or taking advantage of the on site dive centre. The capital of St Georges is only 10 minutes away, offering a great opportunity for exploring, or take a snorkelling trip out to the underwater sculpture park or a tour of a nutmeg plantation. This charming island is yours to enjoy.

When to travel
Grenada maintains balmy tropical temperatures almost all year long, with an average hovering around 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Grenada's rainy season lasts from June to November, when rain falls an average of about 22 days per month. Grenada's dry season falls between November and May, which is also the high tourism season in the Caribbean.
If a quieter, more peaceful vacation is in your sights, then avoid visiting during popular festivities, like the annual drum festival at Tivoli. If you're in search of a more up-beat environment, Carnival is one of the biggest and most popular events in the Caribbean. In Grenada, Carnival is celebrated on the second week of August.
