After flying overnight to Cape Town you will be met and transferred to Birkenhead House in Hermanus. You hire car will be delivered later the same day. The drive to Hermanus is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. Birkenhead House is a superb coastal home perched on a headland overlooking the bay in Hermanus. Here you will find great whale watching between the months of July and October.
Your next stop is Cape Town, a bustling cosmopolitan city. It is a food fundi’s delight with an overwhelming choice of outstanding restaurants. When to travel
South Africa is a year-round destination with Cape Town at it's best from September to April. The summers are generally warm and dry, while winters tend to be wet and cool, the rains brought on by fierce north westerly gales. Neither season experiences extremes of temperature, thanks to prevailing winds. Summer (Nov-Mar) is the hottest with temperatures 20-40°C. Mid season (Apr, May, Sep, Oct) temps between 10-30°C. Winter (from June- Aug) is the low season with temps 0-25°C. The whale migration takes place between late July and early November.

Birkenhead House & Villa are situated in Hermanus in South Africa, approximately 120km (75 miles) from Cape Town. Perched high on the cliffs of Hermanus, overlooking Walker Bay. Then on to Sea Five, just 300 meters from South Africa’s most glamorous beach, Camps Bay.
