Honeymoon3Beach2Diving2Family1

Description

Begin your holiday in electric Hong Kong, a fascinating city of contrasts that is served by an excellent transport network. Spend your time here between the two main islands, Hong Kong and Kowloon, both easily accessed from either side on the Metro or the infamous Star Ferry. Take the tram up to the Victoria Peak and stroll around the exclusive gardens, or take in the fantastic views over the city and outlying islands. Your base is The Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, the original Mandarin Oriental hotel. You will be perfectly positioned for stunning views of Victoria Harbour and to wander out for dinner in a local restaurant or to explore the amazing shopping on your doorstep.

Fly on to the Philippines, and on arrival in Manila, you will be whisked away to the private departure lounge for your short flight to Amanpulo. A private island retreat, Amanpulo is simply paradise. A collection of luxurious casitas sit either in the trees, on the hilltop or directly on the deserted, white sandy beach. Spend your lazy days snorkelling or diving in the crystal clear, turquoise waters, or cruise on a private boat to one of the neighbouring islands for a romantic private barbecue. Each casita is assigned it’s own golf cart which you can use to independently explore the winding tracks and peaceful corners of this magical island.

When to travel

Whilst Hong Kong can be visited all year round, The Philippines has a tropical climate. It is warm in the Philippines throughout the year and the driest time to visit is between December and May. The typhoon season runs from June to November although Amanpulo is outside of the typhoon belt and so gets less rain than the rest of the country.
