Description

The hotel comprises of 546 rooms, separated into 3 wings; Dolmabahce, European and Anatolian. Each wing is lavishly furnished with a different theme and design. Walking into the enormous entrance lobby you are greeted by gold-leafed ceilings, Swarovski Crystal chandeliers, and grand sweeping staircases. All of the rooms are beautifully decorated with rich colours and have large bathrooms with walk in showers (some with private hammam), marble baths and are stocked with Hermes products.

The swimming pool runs through the central aisle of the hotel, and is the largest in Europe covering 5 acres. It is circled by a waterway where gondolas carry you round the perimeter. The end of the pool is marked with the Maiden Tower where there are a number of fantastic restaurants to please every taste. An aquarium at the foot at the tower circles the fantastic fish restaurant. In total there are 10 restaurants and 11 bars.

Situated on the coast, the hotel has a spectacular position on Lara Beach where there is a large wooden pontoon jetting out to sea. A number of watersports are available, as well as a man-made swim reef, a large amphitheatre for entertainment, tennis, volleyball and many more activities.

The spa is one of the largest of its kind and stunning in design. Decorated in mosaics and offering almost every treatment under the sun, this really is the place to be pampered.

When to travel

Comfortable year-round climate. Spring and autumn, from March to May and September to November respectively, are marked by mild to warm days and cool nights. The summer months from June through August provide warm to hot days and pleasant evenings. Winter falls from December through February and days are crisp and evenings can be cold. The year-round temperature range is 6°C to 15°C (January), 11°C to 21°C (April), 22°C to 34°C (July), 15°C to 27°C (October).
