The hotel has just 67 rooms, which are all suites, the smallest being a huge 52sqm with views looking onto the beautiful countryside or the sea. The property also has 6 amazing private villas with private pools and gardens, perfect for families and groups of friends.
The hotel has been designed as a traditional Spanish Finca on the outside, and on the inside as a beautiful Moorish cloister. The hand carved ceilings and floors, marble, antiques and fountains all fit in perfectly with the landscape and surroundings.
The hotel has 2 lovely swimming pools and one salt water indoor pool, a fantastic spa, tennis courts and an amazing 18-hole golf course next door. There are 3 great restaurants serving Asian / Moorish and Spanish cuisine and light tapas, and the beach is just 1 mile from the hotel and will have a private beach club opening in 2011. For tennis lovers there are 2 paddle and 2 tennis courses overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The nearest local village is Casares, which has typical small Spanish restaurants and bars and the famous “white villages” of Andalucia are all in close proximity, with Ronda being just a 45 minute drive away. This hotel is perfect for combining relaxation with some golf, tennis or spa, and is a great hub from which to visit the local area and well-known towns on the coast.
Accommodation
The hotel offers 67 suites and 7 villas ranging in size from 52-625sq meters and designed in a simple Mediterranean style allowing for natural light and beauty. Every suite has a private garden or terrace, some with private pools and magnificent views. The luxury oversized bathrooms are convenient and equipped with top quality amenities.
The villas all have 4 bedrooms (2 on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor) feature ultra spacious living room, dining room, marble bathrooms, fully fitted kitchen and private pool. Every suite and villa has LCD TV and WiFi. The villas are situated in a cluster together approximately 3 minutes from the main part of the hotel and have the benefit of having some additional space and privacy but with all the services and facilities of the hotel at your finger tips.
For families the following accommodation options are recommended -
Executive Suite (which has a bedroom and separate living area). This room can interconnect with a superior room for additional space.
The 4 bedroomed villas for larger families/groups.
Cots and rollaway beds can be arranged.
Childcare
Children are welcome, there is a mini club for children aged 4-12 years from May - October. The club is open daily from 10am - 6pm at a cost of 25 euros per day (half days excluding lunch are complimentary).
The Finca Cortesin mini club is ideal for families that wish to spend some quality time together but would like the option of having a supervised facility to leave their children for a few hours at a time.

3 restaurants including Schilo's offering fine dining with flavours from Asia, Arabia and Europe, great wines and select dishes. El Jardin de Victor presents a sophisticated touch to traditional Mediterranean cuisine and focuses on the finest fresh local products. The Blue Bar serves great snacks, drinks and classic cocktails with impeccable service. There are 2 tennis courts, 3 swimming pools (1 is for families), 2200sqm spa and an 18 hole championship golf course, home of the Volvo World Match Play Championship.
Activities
The Costa del Sol offers one of the finest conditions in the world for sailing and wind surfing, there is also opportunity for scuba diving, waterskiing and many other watersports. There is a world class golf course nextdoor to the hotel and tennis is another on-site favourite.
