Description
You enter this wonderful property by an old Moorish studded wooden door, concealed down a cobbled side street in the Barrio Alfalfa. Inside, a restored 17th century Casa Palacio greets you. The ancient Moorish influences of Andalucia are mirrored in this hotel, which resembles a Moroccan Riad, wherein a central courtyard is circled by galleries housing the bedrooms.
The hotel is beautifully designed using original architecture features, such as carved wooden beams and the atrium patio, and this is combined with contemporary chic interiors and modern technology, such as ipod docking stations and plasma satellite TV’s.
The open roof terrace, with a luxurious plunge pool, is fantastic for relaxing, or gazing across the rooftops of Seville towards the Cathedral and Giralda. Private dining can be organised up under the stars or down in the vaulted lower ground cellars which were only discovered during restoration. The vibrant bar and restaurant offer relaxed fine dining, or you can use the hotel’s extensive knowledge of local restaurants and venture out into Seville for the evening.
There is a vast array of activities available to guests at Corral del Rey. Tour guides can take guests for half or full day excursions to places of interest in the region such as 'Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre', the popular equestrian centre built around the 'Recreo de las Cadenas Palace' where riders dress in 18th century costume and perform dressage. While in the city, a private yoga teacher, flamenco class or horse and cart trip can be arranged.

When to travel
Andalucia has a Mediterranean climate, making it a year round destination. In general you can usually rely on pleasant or hot temperatures from April to early November. In Andalucia there are plenty of warm, sunny days right through winter.
The best time to visit Seville is in the Spring and Autumn when the temperature is just perfect with warm sunny days. During July and August it can be very hot and some days the temperature reaches 40°C. In August the locals head to the coast and much of the city closes.
