Description

Villa Quinta do Esperanca is a beautiful property perched on a hillside with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. The main house has been lovingly designed with the family in mind - there are numerous areas in which to explore, a fenced-off swimming pool (with a children's shallow area) and many levels with terraces, dining arrangements and of course, the fantastic floodlit tennis court.

Set in 2 acres of landscaped grounds, Quinta do Esperanca has been built in the style of a Portuguese manor house, providing high quality, spacious and comfortable accommodation. The main house consists of six bedrooms. Three bedrooms on the first floor and the remaining three bedrooms and living areas are on the ground floor. Many of these rooms have their own access onto a terrace or sunny balcony, so you can enjoy the views of the surrounding areas. The bedrooms have been individually designed with great care and attention and each has its own personality.

On the lower floor, there is the advantage of an enormous games room with a table tennis and pool table.

A short walk from the main house is a pretty cottage where there are a further two bedrooms and bathrooms as well as the large children’s playroom, which is well equipped with numerous indoor and outdoor toys. Our nanny will entertain your children from here and within the extensive grounds of the property.

Surrounding the house and cottage, there are a number of covered terraces, allowing plenty of space and privacy for those who would like some time to themselves. Our chef and host are available to serve you appetising meals or refreshing drinks at indoor or outdoor dining areas- whatever your choice is.

Alternatively, the enormous lawned, terraced gardens, complete with a swimming pool and tennis court (flood-lit, so great for those early evening games), creates a perfect playground for all ages.

The beach is only a 15-20 minutes drive from the property, plus the golf courses, local markets, restaurants and shopping facilities are a mere 20 minutes away. However, we've found that once you're in the villa, you'll not want to leave.

Accommodation

Quinta do Esperanca has 3 double bedrooms and 3 twin bedrooms all with ensuite bath or shower rooms. Some have outside balconies or terraces. The Cottage also has a double ensuite bedroom and twin room.

Childcare

The villa is staffed with a fully qualified nanny who is there to take care of all your childcare needs. Our qualified nanny(ies) can look after children from four months to thirteen years keeping them entertained with a variety of fun activities tailor-made to their needs and routines. The dedicated playroom is full of toys, games, creative activities and a games console for all ages to ensure all children have an endless stream of fun on their holiday! Children are as well catered for as adults and your chef will cook delicious meals that cater for all tastes and allergies.

Our villas are equipped with a family in mind with stair-gates, blackout blinds, baby equipment and cots as standard. You can also request nappies and wipes to be purchased in advance so that you have one less thing to worry about. Babysitting can also be arranged if you would like to go out for supper.

Facilities

Quinta do Esperanca has a heated swimming pool (12 x 6m, 1 - 2.5m deep), 4 barbecues, covered outside dining area and soft seating area, lawned garden, floodlit tennis court, games room with table tennis and pool table, satellite television, DVD, CD, telephone, internet connection.

When to travel

The Algarve has a mild climate with more than 300 days of sunshine a year. It is generally warm and sunny in May with the evenings being quite cool. By June the weather generally settles in a pattern of long hot sunny days and balmy evenings, especially in July and August. Rain is unlikely but it can happen from time to time. Throughout the summer months it can be windy especially during the afternoon. June and September are particularly pleasurable months.
