Description

Rosa Alpina is a charming hotel located in the quaint village of San Cassiano in the Italian Dolomites. With fabulous restaurants, a wonderful spa and beautifully designed rooms, it is a perfect haven to return to after a day exploring the mountains.

The timeless elegance of the rooms, furnished with wood, linen and marble, reflect the hotel’s natural surroundings. The living area is furnished with authentic local antiques and the bathrooms have a ceramic or marble bath. The Suites are furnished according to different themes which refer to the local culture and include a comfortable sitting area with sofa and dispose in part of a fireplace or tiled stoves.

Located in the basement of the main building, the Daniela Steiner spa offers a full range of luxurious treatments, complimented by the extensive wellness area which includes an indoor pool, sauna, hammam and hot tub. The Spa is the perfect place to unwind and indulge your senses.

The outstanding restaurants range from Michelins-star cuisine, to simple Alpine and Italian specialities. At the Wine Bar & Grill delicious pizzas are cooked in wood oven fire and a fantastic breakfast buffet is served at Limonaia restaurant.

The Dolomites are situated in the southern Alps in the north of Italy. The ski domain is known as the Dolomiti Superski and consists of 460 lifts and 760 miles of ski runs during the winter months. During the summer, the Dolomites turn from white to green and 10 chairlifts remain open to take walkers up the mountain. Enjoy a wide range of activities from paragliding to white-water rafting, which can be organised directly through the hotel.

Accommodation

Deluxe rooms are divided into those with south facing balcony and those with a more spacious living area and bathroom. The living area is furnished with authentic local antiques and the bathrooms have a ceramic or marble bath. The Suites are furnished according to different themes which refer to the local culture. They include a comfortable sitting area with sofa and dispose in part of a fireplace or tiled stoves. The bathrooms feature walk-in showers, bath tub and double basins.

Facilities

Restaurant St Hubertus is a 2 Michelin star gourmet restaurant and the Wine Bar & Grill is an informal and young restaurant, specialized in grilled meat and vegetables it also offers home made pasta dishes, rich salads and local specialities. A rich and healthy breakfast buffet is served at Limonaia. The Daniela Steiner Spa and Wellness area has an indoor heated swimming pool, Finnish sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi and a gym.

Activities

Complimentary hiking sticks and maps, bottled water and bicycle hire – the Rosa Alpina will provide easy-to-follow routes ranging from beginner to difficult. Local mountain guides are available for walking and climbing. Mountain lodge at 2000m, clients may rent for day. Fresh food delivered for guests to cook on the grill, table is set, etc. Guests are then left to their own private time. 9 hole golf and paragliding can be arranged through the concierge.
