Description

Sani Resort is a family owned 1000 acre private ecological reserve with pine forests, bird sanctuaries, lakes, olive groves as well as 4 individual hotels - Sani Beach Hotel, Porto Sani Village, Sani Asterias Suites and the Sani Beach Club. Lush, landscaped gardens with Mediterranean scents on this unspoilt peninsular separate the hotels.

The Sani Beach Hotel (446 rooms and suites) is the largest of the 4 hotels at Sani Resort. It opened in April this summer after a substantial refurbishment of the family one and two bedroomed suites as well as a complete refurbishment of the outside areas and the addition of 2 new a la carte restaurants. The hotel is well situated in the resort being next to the resort tennis courts, children's club and watersports centre as well as being a short walk from the Marina. Best of all is the hotel's location right beside a beautiful 7 kilometre sandy beach with is Aegean crystal-clear and child-friendly shallow waters that are tended by life guards.

Sani Asterias Suites is an intimate boutique hotel with 48 private suites including brand new family deluxe suites consisting of two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate living space and garden area of contemporary, luxurious style; ideal for families. The benefits of staying at the Asterias Suites include the private area of the beach in front of the Suites which is exclusive to the Asterias Suites guests.

The Sani Beach Club (205 rooms and suites) is at the far end of the resort and as the names suggests, is located within the secluded indigo bay and overlooking Mount Olympus and across the Aegean Sea. The other Melissa Mini Children's Club is also situated at the Sani Beach Club along with the second watersports and diving centre, tennis courts and other restaurants and bars. There is a good range of accommodation options at the Sani Beach Club with the interconnecting double rooms being the most popular for families.

Porto Sani Village (103 rooms and suites) is situated at the back of the resort with views of the gardens and marina. It is an established family friendly option with 103 rooms popular. With the exception of the Junior Suite, all the suites at Porto Sani Village have separate bedrooms and living areas set within low rise 'villa style' accommodation. The main building consists of the main hotel facilities.

One of the big attractions of Sani Resort is the amount of activities and facilities the resort, as a whole, offers for all ages and interests. One of the highlights is the bustling marina and shopping plaza with its celebrated restaurants, vivid bars, trendy shops and great leisure and sports facilities.

Families of all ages are a firm feature throughout the resort and are most welcome and catered for in a variety of ways. Nearly all restaurants have dedicated children's menus and are well stocked with highchairs (NB some restaurants are exclusive for guests over 12 years) and open at family friendly times. To make a guest stay as hassle free and relaxing as possible, Sani can arrange some extra touches in the rooms for children. To allow parents to combine some quality time with their children as well as enjoy some private moments without any worries, children can join the Melissa crèche and children's club from 4 months to 12 years that are located at the Sani Beach Hotel and Sani Beach Club. The free Teen Club is open in July and August only.

There is always a hub of activity that goes on around the Sani Marina. The marina provides a base for a number of boats and yachts - perfect if you wish to explore the secluded coves in Halkidifi, the Aegean Sea and its islands. The Marina is also known for its sophisticated Mediterranean ambience hosting a number of international and Greek culinary choices, a shopping centre with a range of shops, a cinema as well as special events and festivals at certain times of the year.

Being situated on a protected area, it has perfect surroundings for bird watching, hiking, jogging and cycling with clearly signposted paths through the woods (you can hire adult and child bikes, plus baby seats and helmets for a small cost).
