Le Chabichou is a picturesque white wood hotel perched on the edge of the mountain-side just a stone’s throw from the town centre. The family run hotel is relaxed and intimate with fabulous views and access to the surrounding countryside. The beautifully rustic rooms are all individually styled with traditional mountain pine.
The two-star Michelin restaurant offers gourmet cuisine from the chef Michel Rochedy, combining exotic inspiration with authentic local products. A choice of main course is offered on the half-board menu or you can choose from the ’’a la Carte’’ menu at a supplement. At the end of a day’s skiing, laze in the wellness area for some well-earned relaxation.
The alpine mountains are simply beautiful during the summer months. The major lifts from Courchevel town centre can take you up to Saulire, Courchevel’s summit at 2738m, providing access to Meribel and stunning views of the neighbouring Three Valleys. Enjoy a wide range of activities from paragliding to white-water rafting, which can be organised directly through the hotel. You may even enjoy discovering the alpine sporting events calendar, for instance the Ski Jumping World Cup in August.

Activities
Courchevel has plenty to offer in the summer season, the beautiful alpine landscape is perfect for hiking and mountain biking, or try paragliding to admire the mountains from the air. Quad-biking, white-water rafting, tennis and golf are all popular activities too. Guests can also learn the secrets of the great chefs at Le Chabichou by taking cookery lessons from Michel Rochedy and Stephane Buron.
When to travel
In summer, the climate in the Alps is generally hot and sunny in the lower valleys and pleasantly cool higher up. The valleys accumulate the heat because the air remains in contact with the sheltered, sun drenched ground for longer and thus increases the air temperature.
