The hotel offers a range of luxurious accommodation including stylish rooms, spacious penthouse lofts and separate mountain lodges (chalets). Roaring fires, delicious food and excellent service, see guests returning time after time.

The Portetta restaurant boasts a menu which changes daily, serving a combination of classic and modern French cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. Accommodation

All rooms are effortlessly stylish in warm earthy tones and have fabulous views of the pistes or the Courchevel valley. The family rooms in the main hotel can accommodate up to six people - they can be configured as doubles or twins, and some are interconnecting.

The penthouse lofts, situated on the top two floors of the hotel offer luxury with added privacy. Spacious and fully equipped, they have kitchens, living rooms with open log fires and beautiful balconies, with fantastic views across the resort. Guests have full access to all the hotel's facilities and restaurants.

The Portetta Mountain Lodges, four beautifully-designed chalets just a 10 minute shuttle drive (up the mountain) from the centre of 1650, are ideal for a family or group of friends looking for chalet luxury, but without the 1850 price tag! Lodge Blanchot sleeps 10+2, Chamios sleeps 14, Marmotte sleeps 8+2 and the Chalet Petite Marmotte is one of the Alps’ most romantic chalets, just perfect for two!

All four lodges offer fabulous luxury and comfort and the half board option includes daily house-keeping, 7 continental breakfasts, 7 afternoon teas, 6 evening meals (3 cooked by a chef in the lodge and 3 traditional mountain dinners), concierge service and a private shuttle bus and driver service to levels of Courchevel only.

Childcare

Children are very welcome at Le Portetta. There is a kid's games room where children can use the large snooker table, Wii game consoles, flat screen TV, board games and much more. Babysitting is available on request.

Scott Dunn pioneered skiing holidays with childcare and this is an optional extra that many families consider indispensable. We offer childcare from 4 months and ensure that children have the most fantastic holidays and that parents can completely relax with peace of mind that their family is in great hands. Your children can be taken to and collected from ski lessons and will be kept entertained with a varied and imaginative activity programme.

Our childcare staff are qualified professionals and guests can opt to have a private nanny service . Babysitting is available too. A wide range of equipment for babies and toddlers can be provided to all guests on request, mostly free of charge.

Facilities

Soak up the sun on the largest terrace in Courchevel at the bottom of the main piste, a great spot for a revitalising hot chocolate or a tasty lunch, with its wood-fired pizza oven, fur snugs and heated bar seating, or savour an après ski vin chaud in front of the open fire in Le Portetta bar.

Classic French cuisine, with the focus on locally sourced produce, is served in the Portetta restaurant and the menu changes daily.

The modern spa area, features a sauna, Hammam and candle-lit relaxation lounge, perfect to unwind in after a hard day on the slopes. A variety of treatments are offered including deep muscle massages.

A spacious ski room with friendly staff can help with fitting, and there is a very good choice of the latest equipment for hire.

Activities

Courchevel is one of the world’s premier ski resorts with good reason. The skiing has breadth and depth that is unequalled. The extent of the Three Valleys combined with perfectly groomed runs, vertiginous off-piste couloirs, gentle runs at village level and much admired tree skiing mean Courchevel has lots for skiers of all standards.

Courchevel is part of the largest ski area in the world, with 600km of runs to enjoy. Guests staying in Courchevel 1650 are within easy reach of the two nearby valleys; Meribel and Val Thorens, and of course Courchevel 1850. Cross country ski runs through the trees are great fun for those wanting to push themselves that bit further. There is great off-piste skiing around Courchevel 1650 in addition to snowparks and easy beginner slopes.

Apart from skiing, the village has plenty to offer - from many famous eateries, to a flight from the famous altiport. The toboggan run to 1550 is another favourite, and snowshoeing and paragliding can also be enjoyed.
