Description
The Kristiania is a small intimate hotel in a secluded setting with stunning mountain views. The ski lifts are a 10 minute walk or you can opt for the hotels private shuttle from the door. Lech is one of the world's best known ski resorts and boasts 88 ski lifts and 260km of prepared piste.
The Kristiania is furnished with antiques, contemporary art work and the rooms are individually styled, lending the hotel a very different ambiance to a typical ski hotel. Each of the rooms offers a decor of rich fabrics and decorative lighting, all with chic black and white bathrooms. For something different try the Duplex Suite with its bold coloured walls combined with zebra skin rugs.
Relax in the cosy dark wood Rote bar with open fireplace before dining in the elegant restaurant which has a sophisticated menu and excellent wine list. Dinner in the Kaminzimmer with its open fireplace is a more relaxed affair. There are over 7000 bottles of mature wine in the traditional wine cellar. The small wellness area has a sauna, whirlpool and relaxation room, and revitalising massage treatments help to unwind after a hard day on the slopes.
Children are very welcome at Kristiania and the friendly and efficient staff make sure that every child feels at home. There are children's menus and other facilities such as high chairs, pampers etc available if requested in advance. Other services include a special children's turn down service as well as children's minibar and children's afternoon tea. Lech provides world class ski school and kindergarten services so your children can learn and have fun too!
In addition to downhill skiing there are also plenty of alternative winter sports and activities to take part in. Cross-country skiers can enjoy 15km of interesting pistes around the resort, snowboarders and skiers alike can practice jumps and tricks at Lech's fantastic snowpark and Heli-skiing is available for the more advanced who wish to ski in more remote off-piste locations. Paragliding is a fantastic opportunity to admire the beauty of Lech from the air whilst catching thermals high up in the mountains.
