Accommodation
Accommodation at St. Regis Resort Bora Bora consists mainly of over water villas but there are 4 expansive Pool Beach Villas which have direct access to the beach, separate living room and private garden with outdoor shower and plunge pool. Larger still, 7 Oceanfront Beach Pool Villas have the same amenities and their own private pontoon. 2 Royal Oceanfront Pool Villas have 2 bedrooms and an infinity swimming pool. The resort's 64 Over-Water Villas (split into Overwater, Superior Overwater and Deluxe Overwater according to position on the pontoon) are truly special, designed with exotic woods and marble and featuring a private terrace and gazebo, every creature comfort has been considered. 8 Premier Over-Water Villas have the added indulgence of a whirlpool on the terrace and 5 luxurious Royal Over-Water Pool Villas have 2 en-suite bedrooms and swimming pools over the lagoon. The Royal Estate is simply vast including 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, kitchen, private spa, beach and pool.
Childcare
Children are made welcome at the St Regis Resort Bora Bora and will love the secluded beach and indoor play area. At the Creativity Club for children aged 5-12 they can learn about local Polynesian craftsmanship, the island's natural habitat and enjoy indoor and outdoor activities such as beach games, sand castle building, sailing, story-telling and arts and crafts. Child's bathrobes and cots are available in the rooms and highchairs and kids menus in the restaurants. Your Regis butler can provide you with toys, children's DVDs and can arrange babysitting for over 1's on request. Two and three bedroom villas are available for larger parties.
Facilities
The Mediterranean grill, Te Pahu has an open kitchen and fabulous beachside dining. Fine dining can be enjoyed in the evening at the Lagoon Restaurant suspended over the clear waters or indulge at Bora Bora's first Sushi and sake restaurant. Aparima is the resort's poolside bar with some swim-up seating in the water for cooling down on those hot days. The resort has 2 swimming pools (one is the adults only Oasis pool with private cabanas), tennis court, 24 hour fully equipped gym, heli pad and the Miri Miri Spa. The huge spa is on its own island in a quiet lagoon and both the surroundings and the treatments are magical - nurture the body and soothe the soul with indulgent massages and body treatments.
Activities
On site snorkelling, reef fishing, kayaks, canoes and use of the tennis court are all available to guests free of charge. Venture out and you can enjoy jet skiing, jeep safaris, shark and ray feeding, sailing, diving (off-site), hiking and sunset cocktail cruises.

When to travel
Warm tropical year round temperatures, the Society Islands are a tropical destination so humidity, rain, sunshine and heat are all to be considered. There are two seasons: the Summer which is from November through March and Winter which is from April through October. The average temperature in Summer is about 30°C and in the drier Winter the average temperature is about 28°C. Most rainfall is during the Summer months with high humidity. The best time weather wise with the least risk of storms is in their Winter months. June to August is windy season and can be extremely gusty.

How to get there
Approx 22-hour international flight (one change) plus 45-minute domestic flight from Tahiti. Bora Bora lies 240 km (150 miles) northwest of Tahiti in the Leeward Society Islands and can be reached after 50mn flight from Tahiti thanks to Air Tahihi who offers more than 7 flights a day. Bora Bora airport is located on a remote island, therefore guests will be transferred by boat to the hotel.
