Description

Designed by one of the world’s leading environmental architects, Moonlight Head is a private super lodge perched on a dramatic headland and is extremely exclusive - ideal for parties of up to eight people. Overlooking Otway National Park, home to swamp wallabies and western grey kangaroos, this luxury eco lodge is in a semi wilderness setting on this rugged and beautiful stretch of coastline on the mid point of the Great Ocean Road.

Designed as either a discreet hideaway for couples or the perfect place for family get togethers, this child friendly contemporary style lodge comes fully staffed to look after your every need. Meals are prepared on demand from the freshest local ingredients and it is up to you whether you would like a formal dinner, a sumptuous picnic or a classic BBQ. Children are well catered for also and there is a Butler’s Pantry stocked full of treats that can be raided day or night.

Moonlight Head is one of the few private lodges where horse riding is a major activity - take a full day trek through the stunning Great Otway National Park with local guides or gallop along one of the many empty beaches bordering the majestic Southern Ocean. Other activities include whale watching, motorbike or cycling riding along the Great Ocean Road, nature hikes and wreck diving.

Accommodation

Moonlight Head has four sumptuous bedrooms. Essentially minimalist in style, rooms are furnished with European leather furniture, antique Persian rugs and Italian designed lighting - this combined with the finest beds, duvets and cotton sheets makes for great sleep.

Childcare

Moonlight Head wholly welcomes children and the highly bespoke service here means they will be looked after like never before - x boxes, scooters, toys, games, children's books are all available here in abundance and there are over 50 rubber ducks for bathtime!

Moonlight Head's surrounds offer wonderful cycling and wildlife walk opportunities. Children’s games, kites, dvds and toys available on request and further afield the lodge can organise horse riding, helicopter scenic flights, wreck diving, whale watching, wine tasting, golf, game fishing and motorbiking, If there is something specific you want to do not on this list, Moonlight Head will no doubt be able to organise it.
