Description

Emirates’ Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa is a luxury conservation-based resort located in Australia's Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage area, about 3 hours drive from Sydney. Modelled on the acclaimed Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa in Dubai, but with inimitable Australian style, the resort is set within its own private conservation and wildlife reserve where guests can enjoy absolute luxury, tranquility and a connection with nature.

Spread out at the foot of towering sandstone cliffs, the homestead-style resort occupies just 2% of the resort's 4,000 acres; the remainder is dedicated to restoring and preserving all manner of native species. Up to 90 guests are catered for in 40 free-standing suites each with private swimming pool and there is a main homestead with luxury facilities and stand-alone Timeless Spa.

A perfect retreat for couples or for a family, the Suites present large living spaces and stunning bedrooms. Whether dining in and celebrating with a family meal, watching a film from the resort's extensive collection, relaxing on the verandah or enjoying a dip in the pool, the Suites offer the perfect environment to make the most of the unique location.

Guests are able to appreciate the very special natural, cultural and scenic values of the Wolgan Valley through a range of nature based activities including four wheel drives, guided Aboriginal interpretive tours, nature walks, wildlife spotting and horse riding.

When to travel

In the southern half of Australia the seasons are the opposite of those in the northern hemisphere: spring comes in September, summer is from December to February, autumn runs from March to May, and winter begins in June.

Outback New South Wales is great to visit year round but if you want warm sun and dry weather it is best to try between November and April.
