Description
The camp is set at 1000m above sea level in complete privacy and with great views towards Oman's highest mountain, Jebel Shams. Each African/Arabic safari tent is carefully sited to ensure privacy and outlook and are in keeping with the ambience of the environment and the region. Tents comprise large comfortable beds with real mattresses, sumptuous bedding and Arabian rugs and colours. They are spacious enough to accommodate 2 adults then 2 further children on camp beds. Only natural lighting is used; candles, oil lamps and fires.
Every tent has it’s own well appointed bathroom, either integrated into the tent or immediately adjacent. Towels, lotions and soaps are all provided with hot solar showers offering complete privacy but with the sky overhead.
A delicious dinner is served under the stars beside an open fire using a proper table with china crockery, candles and linen tablecloths. The communal 'Majli' tent is perfect for relaxing, playing board games or even smoking a sheesha pipe.

When to travel
The best time to visit Oman is between November and mid-March, when the cooler air brings the mountain scenery sharply into focus and daytime temperatures average 25°C. For the rest of the year, much of Oman is oppressively hot and hazy, particularly between May and August.
