Dana Nature Reserve

Established in 1989, Dana is Jordan’s largest nature reserve covering some 320 sqkm of spectacular mountains and wadis along the face of the Great Rift Valley. Largely untouched by the main tourist routes, Dana offers the perfect escape, with small, simple lodges dotted through its interior. The best way to see Dana is to pick one of the numerous trails on offer and set off on foot, taking in its 700 plant species, 190 bird species, 37 mammals and 36 reptiles. Dana is actively involved in preserving its natural habitat, promoting sustainable tourism and its eco-friendly activities.
