Description
The lodges are located on the initial trekking route to Everest Base Camp. The first at Lukla is close to the airport, the second at Phakding is located midway between Lukla and Namche Bazaar where the third lodge is located. The two further lodges are located at Thame and Kongde which are at 3800m and 4250m respectively. Guests can either do the circuit using Yeti Mountain Homes, or continue along the path to Base Camp.
The lodges have all been carefully placed to offer spectacular views of the high Himalaya. They have been built using modern building techniques, so offer the creature comforts of hot and cold water and most with en-suite bathrooms, yet they have also ensured they are built with an aesthetic appreciation of the local style and culture.
With excellent staff, the lodges are very well run offering international cuisine and even well stocked bars to ensure your day's walking is rewarded with a cold beer or a refreshing G&T.

Each lodge has on average 20 rooms, most with ensuite bathrooms offering hot and cold water.
Childcare
Trekking is not advised for children below 12; and parents should consider the affects of altitude when travelling beyond Namche Bazaar.

When to travel
Nepal has a Monsoonal climate with four main seasons. Autumn and spring are the two most favourable seasons for visiting Nepal. Autumn (September to early December) brings in clear weather with sunny days and warm nights. Spring (March to May) with occasional rain falls. From June to September, is the monsoon season. Uncomfortable time to visit as the climate of Nepal at this time of year brings about hot weather and rain falls almost every day.

How to get there
10-hour flight (with one change) to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, followed by a 1-hour domestic flight to Lukla.
