The Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa occupies twelve secluded acres of the entire island of Kuda Huraa, in the North Male Atoll. Accommodation
Thatched beach pavilions and bungalows line the white-sand beach at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, while water bungalows are built on stilts over the lagoon. The Royal Beach Villa offers lavish one-of-a-kind accommodation for guests. From their thatched roofs and timber latticework to the beautiful white stone walls, all the architectural details are constructed by local craftsmen using indigenous materials and techniques. All rooms, bungalows and suites include: twin or double beds as preferred, down or hypoallergenic pillows as desired, hair dryer, lighted make up or shaving mirror, internet access, satellite TV, CD and DVD player, safe, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee facilities, phone and minibar.
Childcare
Children under 12 can share their parents' room at no extra charge. Kuda Mas (small fish) Club is open for children aged 4 to 12 years old. Here children will be entertained during their stay with an action-packed programme featuring a variety of beach and outdoor activities, creative crafts and games that are fun, educational and culturally enriching. All are under the supervision of a Kids' Coordinator. There are children's menus in all restaurants and a comprehensive babysitting service.

Activities
The Water Sports Centre offers a wide range of activities to suit all age groups and interests. Kayaking, windsurfing and catamaran sailing are complimentary, motorised activities such as water skiing, parasailing banana boating and fun tubes are chargeable.
There is a PADI-licensed Dive Centre, ready to explore the area's excellent dive sites with you. There is also a dedicated surf school with professional surf instructors.
The Gym is a state-of-the-art fitness facility.

When to travel
The Maldives has a tropical climate distinguished by two seasons, or monsoons: the dry northeast monsoon from December to March, and the wet southwestern monsoon from May to November, with more strong winds and rain. April is a transitional period noted for clear water and heat. The temperature remains remarkably consistent at around 30°C.
February to April is the hottest period and resorts are almost all operating at capacity during this period. Mid-December to early January comes at even more of a premium due to Christmas and New Year and prices are even higher. Easter and the Italian holiday week in August also attract peak prices at most resorts.
Storms are more likely from May to November, though it’s still warm, skies can be cloudy and the humidity is higher. This is the low season, with fewer people and lower prices, with the exception of August.
Diving is good year-round, although a basic rule is that life on the reef is more varied and visibility better on the western side of any atoll from May to November and from the eastern side of any atoll December to April.
The surfing season runs from March to October, which is when resorts are cheapest.

How to get there
10.5 hour flight to Male International Airport, on Hulhule Island. The Resort is a 25-minute speedboat ride from Malé International Airport. Guests are greeted by Four Seasons representatives and escorted to a waiting speedboat, which is the only way to arrive at the Resort.
