Description
World-renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa designed the original Club House and key elements to his design, including the flooring, pillars and roof, have all been preserved through the restoration process. A new building has been thoughtfully designed with the ambience of the old Club House in mind, including the addition of decorative 18th Century Chettinad columns from Karaikudi.
Rooms at the Heritance Madurai have wooden floors, wooden furniture, white linens and Indian rugs with gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape and forest. All rooms have air conditioning, ensuite bathrooms and modern amenities.
From the lobby area, one can see through to the stunning swimming pool, which has been designed to replicate a temple tank and is beautifully lit at night, lying in the shade of an old Banyan tree.
