The former Portuguese colony of Goa is one of the most relaxing places in India. Goa became famous in the 60s when the hippies came to experience its gorgeous beaches, magical sunsets and welcoming communities. The least developed beaches can be found in South Goa – but it’s also worth spending a day away from the beach to explore the local sights and discover Goa’s colonial past.
