Description

1650 metres above sea level in Lao Cai Province, near the Chinese Border, Sapa was originally a French hill station partially chosen due its cool climate. Today it is still home to more than 30 colourful hill tribes and Vietnam's highest peak, Mount Fansipan. It is an area of stunning natural beauty and fascinating cultural diversity and days can be spent here being as energetic or relaxed as you like - with options including trekking, mountain biking or simply wandering through the markets or curling up with a good book and enjoying the spectacular valley views.

Travelling to Sapa from Hanoi is an experience in itself on board the Victoria Express Train which is exclusively for the use of hotel guests. The 8.5 hour journey allows time for a memorable dinner and a sleep in your private cabin. Located above the village of Sapa with views of the surrounding mountains, the Victoria Sapa’s alpine chalet-style architecture blends perfectly with the stunning scenery. There are 77 attractively furnished guest rooms which are simple yet comfortable.
