Description

The Nam Hai is one of the more recent additions to the chic collection of GHM hotels, renowned for stylish retreats with outstanding service. It is located on the beautiful Vietnamese coastline, yet only a stone's throw away from the ancient trading port of Hoi An where colourful markets, tailors shops, ancient buildings and temples await exploration.

Each villa at The Nam Hai has outstanding views across the white sands and out to the ocean and is set amongst landscaped gardens. The bedrooms are incredibly spacious and contemporary in design, with indoor and outdoor living areas. Many of the villas also have private swimming pools and include a personal butler service.

The numerous swimming pools create an infinite view of crisp lines and the restaurants are well located to take in the views and offer delicious and imaginative cuisine. For children there is a complimentary club to enjoy activities such as kite making, baking or learning Vietnamese!

Accommodation

There are 60 One-bedroom Villas and 40 Pool Villas at The Nam Hai. All are on the stunning beachfront and artfully combine indoor and outdoor living. The lavish Pool Villas range from 1 to 5 bedrooms and have a full sized swimming pool, every amenity conceivable and a private butler.

Childcare

Families are made truly welcome at The Nam Hai. There is a fantastic Kids Club for 4-12 year olds with a huge selection of organised games, explorations and activities and baby sitting, children's meals etc. are all available.

Facilities

The Beach Restaurant, The Dining Room and The Bar are 3 great venues for meals and drinks ranging in cuisine, styles and formality. The lavish spa promises to revive your senses and satisfy your soul and for the active there is a gym, 3 swimming pools, 4 tennis courts, badminton Court and basketball court. There is also a library.

Activities

Activities from The Nam Hai include an 18 hole golf course nearby, extensive and varied cultural tours and boat excursions. Diving is available at the nearby Cham Islands where there is a PADI centre.

When to travel

The temperature is warm throughout the year (average 29°C), yet hotter around months June and July and cooler around December. Hoi An is affected by monsoon winds. The city will be constantly raining from September till January, and dry for the rest of the year. Overall, the best time to visit Hoi An is between February and June when rainfall is low and temperatures are pleasant. The temperatures can get hot during summer time and during the rainy season, particularly during October and November, rains can be frequent and heavy.

If you can, time your visit to Hoi An for the full moon during on the 14th day of the lunar year each month for the Full Moon festivals, when the town becomes the stage for traditional songs, dancing, games and food, with lanterns lining all of the streets.

Hoi An, Vietnam

The Nam Hai is situated on Ha My Beach, part of China Beach, Beside the South China Sea, between the cultural hubs of Hoi An and Hué.

How to get there

Da Nang is the nearest airport, and is served by domestic airlines from Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi. From Danang The Nam Hai is 30 minutes by car. Hotel transfers are the only practical way to arrive as the taxis can be unreliable.
